When the gas goes, the room stays cold

Every winter the same thing. Sui gas pressure drops in the evening, the gas heater burns low and blue, and the room never really warms up. This runs off a wall socket instead, so it doesn't care what the gas pressure is doing.

Halogen heats you, not the room

Halogen tubes warm what's in front of them almost immediately — you feel it within seconds of switching on, rather than waiting twenty minutes for the air to come up to temperature. For sitting in one place, a halogen heater is the fastest kind there is.

Three heat settings

400W, 800W or 1200W. Low is enough for one person at a desk. High fills a small bedroom. Running only the tubes you need is the difference between a bearable bill and a painful one.

It turns itself off if it falls over

Tip-over switch cuts the power the moment the unit isn't upright. Worth having in a house with children or a room where a charpai gets moved around.

Oscillation

The head sweeps side to side so the heat spreads across a seating area instead of cooking one person's knees.

Be honest about the bill

On full power this draws 1200W — about 1.2 units an hour. Multiply that by your own per-unit rate and you'll know what an evening costs. On the 400W setting it's a third of that. We'd rather you worked this out before ordering than after the bill arrives.

It is also a room heater, not a house heater. One of these will not warm a large open hall.

Common questions

Do I have to pay before it arrives?
No. Cash on delivery only. Nothing in advance, and we never ask for card details.

Will it work during load-shedding?
No. It needs mains electricity and 1200W is too much for a normal home UPS. This solves gas load-shedding, not bijli load-shedding.

How big a room will it heat?
A bedroom or a small sitting room. Not a hall.

What if it stops working?
In the first 7 days, message us on WhatsApp with a photo and we replace it — the return costs you nothing.
