Blend it, then cook it, in the same jug

Most blenders can only do cold. This one heats. Put raw ingredients in, press a button, and it blends and cooks in the same jug — soup, haleem base, soya milk, baby food, porridge. Nothing gets transferred to a pan, so there's one jug to wash instead of a jug and a degchi.

Where it earns its place

Soup and shorba. Vegetables in, blended and hot in one go.

Baby food. The reason most people buy these. Cook and purée without standing over a stove, at whatever consistency the child is ready for.

Soya milk and nut milk. Heating is what separates a machine that makes soya milk properly from one that makes cold slurry.

Daal and porridge. Set it going and leave it.
